Choosing A Repair Facility
You have the right to have your vehicle repaired at the collision center of your choice. When you select a facility, the responsibility for a satisfactory repair rests, finally, with you. You may need to consider that the collision repair provider you select has the specialized equipment required to repair late model vehicles. When you have decided on a repair facility, you will need to notify your insurance company where you want to have your vehicle repaired.
The complexity of today’s automobiles makes it very difficult to produce an accurate appraisal/estimate of the damages to your vehicle based on visual damages only. Euroworks in northeast Calgary believes it is not fair to our customers to “estimate” visual damages and then once your vehicle is brought in for repairs and dismantled, to inform you that the actual cost of the repairs, due to hidden damages, has significantly increased the initial “estimate”. We don’t like to surprise our customers this way! Euroworks works with Canada’s premier insurance companies to repair your vehicle to its pre-accident condition. Most insurance companies no longer require you to waste your valuable time collecting different estimates from various collision repair facilities. Instead, simply give us a call to schedule your vehicle in for repairs.
The advantage for our customers is that there are rarely significant price increase surprises with the repair planning process.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Can I pick the shop where my car is repaired?
Yes. The insurance company may suggest a shop, but the final choice is yours.
2. Do I need more than one estimate?
No. You only need one estimate. If your insurance company requires another opinion they will send an appraiser to the shop your vehicle is at or they may come to your home/workplace.
3. Do you supply a loaner vehicle and is there a cost to me?
Yes. We have loaner vehicles available but you must have collision coverage on your insurance policy. There is no cost to the customer but you are responsible for fuel and any tickets you may accrue, as well as any damage done to the vehicle while in your possession.
4. What if my insurance company does not approve all the repairs?
We can only do the work insurance has approved. If you do not agree with their estimate, it is vital that you resolve this matter with them before repairs commence. Customers may pay for any additional work they wish to have done.
5. What portion of the repairs am I responsible for?
If this is an insurance claim, you are responsible for your deductible, betterment and G.S.T. if this applies to your situation.
6. What delays can arise with the repairs of my vehicle?
Delays may be caused by back order parts from the manufacturer or insurance approvals for the initial estimate or any hidden damages that are discovered in the course of the repair. Delays can also be caused by missing information from the customer such as missing police stickers on vehicles or by difficulty reaching the customer for additional approvals.
7. How long will you have my vehicle?
This depends on the extent of the damage. To get a general idea, we take the total estimated labour hours and divide it by 0.4. This gives you a rough estimate on the number of days we will have your vehicle.
8. What do I do if I have an accident with the loaner vehicle?
First, call 911 if required. If you do not require medical attention, call the police directly if you suspect the damage to be near or over $2000.00. Next, call Euroworks. If a tow truck is required, have the vehicle towed to our location. Finally, notify your insurance company.
9. What form of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Cash, Money Order, or Certified Cheque.
