What's the future of Augmented Reality in Cars?

Imagine a car from the early part of the 20th century: no power steering, no enclosed cabin, no self-starting ability…the list goes on. While it would certainly make high-speed getaways more entertaining if we still had to hand-crank our engines, it's undeniable that technology has made our cars better in more ways than we can count.

As engines have progressed to become faster, more powerful, and more efficient, the rest of the vehicle has also improved. Most recently, with the advent of computers, processors, and portable and adaptable displays, it has become possible to give drivers more tools than ever before while they're on the road. These can range from safety features and warnings, to itinerary information, to on-the-go entertainment that helps keep bored passengers happy. Once restricted to dashboards and overhead fold-down screens, a new development is now bringing all of this potential together in a futuristic way - by using windshields equipped with augmented reality HUDs (heads-up displays).

Stop Going To The Big Dealerships For Diagnostics

Stop Going To The Big Dealerships For Diagnostics!

An important part of getting your vehicle to work at its top potential is making sure that it is properly maintained. Preventative maintenance can add years to the life of your vehicle, and ensure that every ride is smooth and satisfying.

But sometimes, despite everything, the inevitable can occur – moving parts and components can break down, both internally and externally. And in those instances, all the parts of your car should be checked over by a certified technician. This used to be a costly and time-consuming process as every part of your engine and structure had to be physically checked. Nowadays, though, most of these parts are electronically controlled and monitored by the vehicle electronic systems, which simplifies and streamlines everything. This is a key part of our Vehicle Diagnostic service!

how to unlock your high-end car's full potential

Unlock Your High-End Car's Full Potential!

We live in a world run by computers. From the phones in our pockets to the servers on the stock market, nearly everything we use now has some connection to software and programming. And, of course, this includes modern cars.

For years now, high-end cars have come with a pre-installed computer chip that keeps track of what’s going on under the hood. While this is an important diagnostic tool – the chip can scan the engine and report any problems directly to you or the mechanics working on it – it has also become a way for manufacturers to limit the performance of your vehicle. This “detuning” of the engine protects it from careless drivers, poor maintenance, and low-quality fuel – but what happens when you really want to drive the car you bought? What if you want to push it as far as it can go and get your money’s worth?
